Types Of Chameleon Vehicle Tracking Systems
Stolen Vehicle Tracking - TRACKER Stolen Vehicle Recovery
Stolen vehicle tracking allows a tracking device to be attached to a vehicle which can be activated through automatic detection or when the vehicle is reported stolen. Chameleon supply the TRACKER brand which is the only major brand fitted to every Police interceptor vehicle (including helicopters) as well as ports in and out of the country. This ensures a rapid recovery response. Chameleon TRACKERS can be detected in underground car parks, steel containers and covered trailers. The unit does not need to be able to see the sky to pick up a GPS signal like some competitors products.
As they are "Thatcham Approved", they are endorsed by many vehicle insurers by way of reduced premiums. More and more insurers are now requesting high value vehicles to be fitted with these tracking devices.
Chameleon TRACKERS generally work by the payment of an upfront fee for the device and installation and a monthly payment for the on-going monitoring.
Chameleon offer three types of TRACKER
1. Retrieve - This is their best value Police and insurance approved system. It can not be blocked or jammed.
2. Monitor - This has the same features as the Retrieve system which detects and notifies the TRACKER if your vehicle has been moved without your permission.
3. Locate - This is their premium model and features of the Monitor system but uses three methods of tracking - VHF, GSM and GPS Satellite tracking.
Fleet Tracking Systems - Chameleon Asset Track
These are designed for companies who operate a fleet of vehicles for their staff. They are able to keep track data such as exactly where each vehicle is, the direction of travel, location, speed of travel and how long a vehicle has been in a specific location. Chameleon's Asset Track provides real time GPS vehicle location and historical data.
The systems can keep track of any unauthorised driving activities but also be used increase efficiency, verify overtime and mileage claims thus reducing costs and increasing a companies profit margins. Companies can use the systems to easily find their nearest vehicle for the next job, which in turn will improve customer service.
There is no fixed term contract, unlimited warranty and running costs are from a little over 30p per day. Subscription fees apply.
